A lot of times, especially with newbie ghost hunters, we tend to lean towards supernatural explanations of photos that could
have a perfectly natural cause. Below are some examples I've done myself with my own digital camera. (Pentax Optio 230

Camera Strap
Sometimes even your camera strap dropping in front of your shot without your notice can appear to be what's known as a vortex
or possibly a moving orb with a trail.
This is an example I took with my camera flash on reflecting off the strap. Objects this close to a lens will reflect a lot
of the flash highlighting the object.

Smoke
Another supernatural event sometimes captured in photos by ghost hunters is mist. Mist is believed to be ectoplasmic energy
from a spirit forming into an apparition. There are some natural causes to this event. If someone is smoking it can travel
with wind currents into your shot without you being aware. Other natural causes could be natural fog, candle/incense smoke
or even your own breath.
The photo beside shows incense smoke being burned and floating into the picture.

People sometimes get weird lines of light in their photos and think they must be something paranormal like a orb shooting
by them.
Quite frankly, they can usually have a very normal explanation like the sample beside. I took this picture of my computer/modem
in the dark with moving my camera slightly during the picture and produced the shown effect.
